Fund "Luyis": Expenses for protecting the interests of the Republic of Armenia in international courts have sharply increased

The report on the execution of the state budget of Armenia shows increasing expenses

The "Luyis" Fund reports that expenses for protecting the interests of the Republic of Armenia in international courts have sharply increased. In the first half of 2026, economic activity grew by 7.9%, but the structure of this growth raises concerns. The main drivers of growth were the service sector, industry, and construction, while agriculture recorded a decline of 11.9%.

The contribution of the trade sector to economic activity was only 0.1 percentage points, and exports in dollar terms decreased by 6.7%.

The Fund notes that actual revenues of the state budget of Armenia in the first half of 2026 amounted to 1,643.2 billion drams, which is 14.7% more than in the same period last year.

However, the execution of the state expenditure plan was only 83.2%, which raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of fiscal policy.

The Fund also emphasizes that expenses for protecting the interests of the Republic of Armenia in international courts increased by 41.9%, reaching 2.7 billion drams.
