The share of the EU in Armenia's foreign trade is growing, while the EAEU is declining

The share of the EU in Armenia's foreign trade has reached 17.8%

The share of the European Union (EU) in Armenia's foreign trade rose to 17.8% in the first half of 2026, up from 12.1% a year earlier, while the share of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) decreased to 29.4% from 36.3% last year:

This is according to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The volume of foreign trade turnover with the EU increased by 46.2%, reaching $1.7 billion, while with the EAEU it decreased by 19%, totaling $2.8 billion:

Among EAEU countries, only Russia saw a decline in trade volumes, while most EU countries, including Germany, Italy, France, and others, increased their trade volumes:

The total foreign trade turnover of Armenia in the first half of 2026 reached $9.6 billion, showing a decrease of 0.1%.
