In June, the Eurozone's trade balance reached €8.6 billion compared to €4.8 billion in June 2025, while a deficit of €9 billion was recorded in May. This is the highest balance since February. Analysts surveyed by Trading Economics had expected the Eurozone to record a deficit of €2.2 billion.
In June, exports of goods from the Eurozone increased by 14.4% year-on-year, reaching €272.5 billion. Imports rose by 13.1%, totaling €264 billion.
For the first half of the year, the Eurozone's positive trade balance amounted to €9.8 billion compared to €82.2 billion in the same period last year. Half-year exports decreased by 0.2%, reaching €1.487 trillion, while imports increased by 4.7%, reaching €1.477 trillion.
Trade volume within the Eurozone grew by 4.7% from January to June, reaching €1.408 trillion.
The European Union recorded a trade surplus of €3.9 billion in June, compared to a deficit of €13.9 billion in May.
