As of June 30, Yerevan's municipality collected 49.2 billion drams in its own revenues for the first half of the year, exceeding last year's figure by 10 billion drams. This was reported by David Akopyan, acting head of the Yerevan Municipality's Revenue Accounting and Collection Department:
He noted that the plan was exceeded by more than 4.5 billion drams. The lion's share of the municipality's revenues comes from property tax (25%), followed by fees for issuing construction and design permits (21%), and public transport fares (17%), among others:
All administrative districts of the capital exceeded their revenue collection plans, except for the Erebuni, Kentron, and Nubarashen districts:
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized that the additional funds collected will be directed towards the construction of new transport hubs and road repairs:
