Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) will be transferred to private management. He made this statement during a government meeting on August 6:
According to Pashinyan, the management should be handed over to a private company, and state-owned enterprises need to be privatized:
"We should sell them through open and transparent competitions, but the state should retain a certain share and seats on the boards of directors," he noted:
ENA has been owned by the Tashir group since 2016:
In 2025, Pashinyan announced plans to nationalize the company, and in March 2026, the government is preparing for the full nationalization of the company's shares:
