"Energy trade should not be an exception in the Armenia-Azerbaijan bilateral trade," said Arman Yeghoyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction, in response to a journalist's question about the potential supply of electricity from Azerbaijan to Armenia:
"Regarding the import and export of energy resources or energy in general, the more open routes and opportunities there are for importing and exporting energy and energy resources from different sources, the more beneficial it will be for Armenia.
Importing gas and oil, exporting electricity, energy exchange, trade, buying and selling, like all other goods and services, should of course not be an exception in bilateral trade. For instance, we have a surplus of electricity, for which we are even looking for consumption directions in certain seasons. You know that we export electricity to Iran and Georgia," said Yeghoyan.
