On September 10, Armenia’s Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan met with representatives of companies producing rebar steel. Deputy Minister Tigran Gasparyan also took part in the meeting, according to the ministry’s press service.
The discussions covered opportunities to increase rebar steel output and improve productivity. The sides also reviewed steps aimed at improving competition in the sector.
They further discussed customs duties, along with a number of issues related to the development of local production and boosting market efficiency.
The meeting also addressed the sector’s existing problems and possible ways to resolve them.
