Armenia's Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said at a September 24 briefing that Armenia had exported aluminium foil to Azerbaijan.
The minister did not disclose the volume of those shipments, saying the ministry would release that information later.
According to the latest customs data, Armenia exported more than 10,000 tonnes of aluminium foil in the first half of 2026, up 8.5% year on year. The customs value rose 14.1% to $46.6 million.
The main destinations were Germany with 50.3% of total shipments and Poland with 26.4%. Exports also went to Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Russia, Georgia and Moldova. Less than 1 tonne of product was shipped to Belarus, 40 kg, and Singapore, 38 kg.
The source notes that the Arminal plant was the only exporter of foil in Armenia.
