The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is generating significant interest among many countries, including China and ASEAN nations. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Ovechuk:
“The EAEU is beginning to be perceived by the world in a completely new way. We see interest from the United Nations, from ASEAN member states, and from the People's Republic of China. We are negotiating with India and have signed an agreement with Indonesia, which is the largest economy in Southeast Asia,” Ovechuk noted:
According to him, this characterizes the EAEU's commitment to peaceful development in Eurasia. “We are truly striving to improve the quality of life for people in Eurasia, and of course, in Russia as well,” he concluded:
