The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has warned airlines to continue avoiding flights through the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon, as well as to exercise maximum caution when flying over the rest of the Middle East, according to CBS News.
In its updated bulletin, the regulator noted that the stability of the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran remains uncertain in the long term, and there is a risk of a sharp escalation of tensions.
EASA has stated that the deadline for the restrictions has been extended to July 8, whereas the previous warning was set to expire on July 1.
