According to data published by the Central Bank of Armenia, as of June 2026, the ratio of foreign currency deposits and loans of residents to the money supply (D1) was 27.7%, which is a decrease of 2.5 percentage points compared to the comparable figure for 2025.
The ratio of foreign currency deposits and loans of residents to total deposits and loans of residents (D2) also decreased by 3.2 percentage points and amounted to 32.1%:
The share of foreign currency demand deposits and loans of resident individuals among the total demand deposits and loans of resident individuals (D3) was 43.6%, which is a decrease of 2.0 percentage points compared to March 2025.
The share of foreign currency term deposits and loans of resident individuals among the total term deposits and loans of resident individuals (D4) was 36.4%, which is 6.0 percentage points lower than the comparable period in 2025.
As for the ratio of foreign currency loans to total loans (D5), it increased by 0.6 percentage points, reaching 31.9%:
Armenian commercial banks and credit organizations continue to attract more funds from abroad and, therefore, aim to distribute them in the currency in which they were attracted to avoid foreign exchange risks.
