Dollar and Ruble Transactions Decrease on Armenia's Interbank Currency Market

Transactions on Armenia's interbank currency market have decreased

On Armenia's interbank currency market, from June 29 to July 3, both dollar and ruble transactions decreased. Euro transactions have not been conducted for over four months.

The trend for dollar transactions shifted from a 78.6% increase to an 81.5% decrease, while the decline in ruble transactions slowed from 22.2% to 1.3%. This allowed the weekly volume of ruble transactions to surpass dollar transactions by three times.

As a result, from June 29 to July 3, the dram appreciated against the dollar from 367.8 to 366.5 dram/$1, while also strengthening against the euro and ruble.
