Digitec 2026 in Armenia to become a leading regional AI platform

Set for November 20-22 in Yerevan, the event will bring together tech leaders, investors and founders from several regions.

Digitec 2026, to be held this year under the banner “The World’s New AI Hub,” is set for November 20-22 at the Meridian Expo Center and is aiming to cement its role as a major regional platform for artificial intelligence. The event will be held for the 21st time, but this year it is taking on a stronger international profile, bringing together technology executives, startup founders, investors and policymakers in Yerevan.

The Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises, which organizes Digitec, said the forum is expected to attract participants from the United States, Europe, the Gulf countries and Central Asia. Organizers argue that Armenia’s technology talent base and rapidly expanding AI computing infrastructure are creating the conditions for the country to play a more visible role in the global AI value chain.

UATE President Armen Kocharyan said Digitec is no longer just a local industry showcase. This year, he said, the event is being opened to the world so Armenian companies can secure the international partnerships they need for growth. He also noted that part of the event’s revenue will continue to support the Armath workshops, UATE’s education program that makes engineering education accessible to more than 17,000 children in Armenia.

UATE CEO Edita Ghazaryan said Armenia now has a historic opportunity to turn its technology talent and AI infrastructure into international impact. With that goal, she said, Digitec 2026 is being positioned as a leading AI event that will bring tech leaders, founders and investors from several regions to Armenia.

A program spanning the full AI value chain

The conference agenda will cover the full AI value chain, from energy, chips and computing power to infrastructure and data, AI models, applications and tools. Organizers say the event will feature around 100 global speakers. Keynotes and panel discussions will be hosted in the 600-seat main hall, while the 150-seat DigiHub venue will focus on more specialized “engineers for engineers” sessions.

The program will also include OpenTalks.AI, an internationally recognized format in artificial intelligence and machine learning with a community of more than 5,000 professionals.

Confirmed speakers include Rev Lebaredian (Փոխնախագահ, NVIDIA), Adrian McDonald (Նախագահ, EMEA, Dell), Rajiv Jayaraman (Փոխնախագահ, Microchip Technology), Ali Agha (Համահիմնադիր և գլխավոր տնօրեն, Field AI), Suren Harutyunyan (Compute-ի ղեկավար, OpenAI), Zeljko Relic (Գործադիր փոխնախագահ, CTO, Align Technology), Anton Repushko (Հետազոտությունների ղեկավար, Revolut), Matias Undurraga Breitling (Կորպորատիվ տեխնոլոգիաների տնօրեն, AWS, նախկին CTO, CPO), Raffi Krikorian (CTO, Mozilla, formerly Twitter and Uber), Rod Solaimani (Տարածաշրջանային քաղաքականության և գործընկերությունների ղեկավար, OpenAI), Jack McCauley (Համահիմնադիր, Oculus VR) and others.

Main partners: NVIDIA, Firebird AI and Krisp

NVIDIA has joined Digitec 2026 as a main partner, underlining what organizers describe as the company’s role in building the region’s computing infrastructure. NVIDIA technology also underpins major projects including the Armenian Firebird AI and Eleveight AI data centers. Rev Lebaredian, NVIDIA’s vice president for physical AI simulation, is scheduled to speak on the main stage and also deliver a separate technical session at DigiHub.

Lebaredian said the goal is not simply to bring AI to Armenia, but to build AI in Armenia for the whole world. He said infrastructure built on NVIDIA technologies gives Armenian researchers and entrepreneurs the foundation to create new technologies, companies and industries.

Firebird AI is also participating as a main partner. The company, which is developing AI infrastructure in Armenia, said its AI data center plans to place Armenia among the world’s top 10 countries by computing resource volume by the end of 2027. Firebird AI co-founder Alexander Yesayan said early discussions that helped shape the project took place during Digitec in 2024, and that this year’s event should create opportunities for new partnerships and projects for Armenian companies.

Krisp has likewise joined as a main partner. According to the company, its voice AI technology is used on more than 200 million devices and processes more than 80 billion minutes of voice data every month, while Krisp serves more than 2,500 leading enterprises worldwide. Krisp co-founder and president Artavazd Minasyan said Digitec is becoming a showcase of Armenia to the world. With 100,000 GPUs and the involvement of NVIDIA and Firebird, he said, Armenia is emerging as an AI hub between Europe, the Gulf countries and Central Asia.

Picsart and Netris have joined Digitec 2026 as strategic partners. Other partners include the Yerevan Municipality, EU4Innovation East, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), PMI Science and Team Group of Companies.

Exhibition, B2B meetings and investor activity

The exhibition will serve as Digitec 2026’s main commercial platform, featuring more than 100 established companies and around 80 startups. A dedicated B2B section will be set up to facilitate business ties and cooperation, while the Digitec mobile app will help founders, investors and company representatives schedule meetings.

During the event, BANA Angels will organize an investor tour, and startups will pitch their ideas to investors at Startup Arena. The program will also include other industry gatherings as well as the annual ArmRobotics autonomous robot championship. Official registration is already open for visitors, delegations, companies and the media, while tickets are available on digitec.am.

Founded in 2005, Digitec has grown into one of the region’s largest technology events. UATE, established in 2000, brings together around 300 technology companies in Armenia.
