David Ananyan, the former head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, stated on his Facebook page that Armenia should be prepared not only for desirable but also for unfavorable scenarios:
According to him, the current government has led the country into strategic uncertainty, as it declares European integration but lacks a membership proposal or transition program:
“Armenia needs to conduct a full assessment of the impact of export restrictions and adopt a protection program for affected producers,” he said:
Ananyan added that it is also important to develop scenarios for diversifying gas and energy supplies.
