The Prosecutor's Office will file lawsuits to return six kindergartens privatized in the Alaverdi community to protect public interests.
The Prosecutor General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, was on a two-day working visit to the Lori region from August 19 to 20, 2026. On the second day of her visit, she toured the areas of kindergartens privatized in Alaverdi between 2000 and 2005.
The Prosecutor's Office stated that to clarify the legality of the privatization of the mentioned properties, lawsuits are being prepared based on the results of the conducted study, and one lawsuit has already been submitted to the competent court.
Anna Vardapetyan has instructed the regional prosecutor to return the illegally alienated kindergartens to the community, setting deadlines for execution.
