The Prosecutor's Office initiated public criminal proceedings on August 25, 2026, against I. H., the current director of the retail clothing company "Gritti," H. M., the former director of the same company, A. A., the director of the company "FAST CART" operating under the brand "PLAY CITY," and K. A., the director of the company "KINETIK," for failing to pay taxes in particularly large amounts.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
In particular:
1. In the course of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Investigative Committee, it was established that I. H., who has been the director of the retail clothing company "Gritti" since March 7, 2018, at addresses 3 Northern Avenue ("Stefano Ricci") and 12 Tumanyan Street ("Corneliani"), included distorted data in tax reports submitted to the tax authorities from November 2021 to July 2026, with the aim of failing to pay taxes in particularly large amounts, resulting in a deliberate failure to calculate and pay taxes amounting to 1 billion 577 million 83 thousand drams to the state budget.
It was also established that H. M., who served as the director of the company "Gritti" from May 25, 2007, to March 2018, included distorted data in tax reports submitted to the tax authorities, resulting in a deliberate failure to calculate and pay taxes amounting to 328 million 664 thousand drams to the state budget.
2. The Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings in another case being investigated by the Investigative Committee against A. A., the director of the company "FAST CART" operating under the brand "PLAY CITY," located at 35 Acharian Street, for failing to pay taxes in particularly large amounts from July 1, 2025, to June 23, 2026, amounting to 141 million 54 thousand drams.
3. The Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings in another case against K. A., the director of the company "KINETIK" (Orange Fitness), located at 7/1 Tsitsernakaberd Highway, for failing to pay taxes in particularly large amounts amounting to 520 million 215 thousand drams since October 17, 2012.
As previously reported, the Anti-Corruption Committee detailed the charges against Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son Sedrak Kocharyan.
They, along with 4 other individuals involved in criminal schemes, have been arrested.
In the course of the criminal proceedings regarding corruption-related offenses, searches and other procedural actions have been carried out at several dozen addresses.
Later, the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia provided further details about the nature of the charges and stated that in addition to Robert Kocharyan, the prosecutor has initiated criminal proceedings against 9 other individuals, including Robert Kocharyan's son Sedrak Kocharyan, former Minister of Defense Serzh Sargsyan, former Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan, former Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan, participant of the company "Local Developers" Samvel Mayrapetyan, as well as A. O., who held the position of director of the Kondi estate and led the construction company "Aigedzor," along with his wife and two daughters.
