Court Suspends New Regulation on Foreign Player Limits in Armenian Championship

Changes to the Armenian Football Federation's regulations have been suspended

The Yerevan Civil Court has suspended the provisions of the Armenian Football Federation's regulations that limit the number of foreign players in club rosters. Accordingly, clubs in the Armenian Premier League can register foreign players without the restrictions set by the new regulations.

Previously, Anna Ohanian, the development director of Yerevan's Noah and a member of the Executive Committee of the AFF, filed a lawsuit against the Armenian Football Federation, seeking to invalidate the decision made on June 27, 2026, which stipulated that clubs could include a maximum of 15 foreign players in their rosters, considering both first and second teams.
