Daniel Azatyan, the head of the Union of Banks of Armenia, reported that in June 2026, the interest rates on retail dram loans with a repayment term of 1 to 5 years decreased by 0.4 percentage points compared to December 2025. Meanwhile, the interest rate on dram deposits remained at 9.5%.
According to Azatyan, the interest rate on dollar retail loans with a repayment term of 1 to 5 years increased by 0.3 percentage points in June 2026, while the interest rate on dollar deposits rose by 0.1 percentage points to 4.1%.
As of June 30, 2026, the share of dram loans was 65%, while dollar loans accounted for 35%.
