The Armenian Food Safety Inspection Authority has decided to suspend the operation of the 'Covazard' carbonated beverage factory located in the Gavar community of the Gegharkunik region. The suspension was prompted by violations identified during inspections:
- The walls of the production facilities were not covered with waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials;
- The ceiling was not secure, which did not prevent dirt accumulation and mold formation;
- The doors were not made of non-absorbent materials;
- The internal windows did not have insect protection screens;
- The toilet door opened into the production area;
- All equipment, tools, and containers in direct contact with food were not constructed from hygienic materials and were not maintained in good condition;
- The food facility was not equipped with a changing room for staff;
A deadline has been set for correcting the identified violations.
