The Chinese company Photon Matrix Lab has developed and started mass production of a new device for detecting and eliminating mosquitoes. The first batch will be delivered to customers by the end of August. Thanks to the coordinated work of a special radar, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based visibility system, and a super-precise laser, the device quickly detects and strikes the target.
The uniqueness of the mechanism lies in the fact that most components perform multiple functions at once. Thus, the laser not only locates but also immediately destroys the insect.
Although Photon Matrix Lab's devices are already on the market, they still need to undergo independent testing. The developing company promises to publish the results of the tests later. This new technology is expected to potentially become an alternative to current chemical or mechanical methods of combating mosquitoes.
