Chinese AI startup Deepseek valued at $74 billion

Deepseek plans to raise new funding

The Chinese company Deepseek, which develops artificial intelligence systems, has received a preliminary valuation of $74 billion as it prepares for a new round of capital raising. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal.

“Deepseek plans to raise new funding, which will result in this Chinese AI startup being valued at $74 billion,” the publication states.

Informed sources have told the publication that the company intends to raise $7.4 billion. These funds are expected to be directed towards research and experimental design work, as well as expanding computational infrastructure.

Earlier in June, the newspaper reported that after raising $7.4 billion in investments and receiving a valuation of over $50 billion, the company became the most valuable AI startup in China.

Deepseek is a Chinese company specializing in developments in the field of artificial intelligence and the development of its own neural networks. The company gained wide recognition after the release of its AI assistant last year, which, according to the company's website, is on par with ChatGPT in terms of capabilities.
