Armenian Government Compensates 902 Citizens for Canceled Flights

Armenian citizens received compensation for canceled flights

Armenian citizens utilized compensation provided by the Armenian government to purchase new airline tickets due to canceled flights.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organized the process of providing compensation to citizens who purchased new airline tickets due to the cancellation of flights caused by military actions in the Middle East in February.

From April 10 to August 20, 2026, 630 applications were registered from Armenian citizens, resulting in compensation being provided to 902 citizens. The total amount of compensation was approximately 174 million drams, with each individual receiving up to 250,000 drams.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supported citizens throughout the process, from filling out applications and submitting necessary documents to providing compensation, while also collaborating with airlines and travel companies as needed.

Considering the decreasing dynamics of application submissions, the Armenian government set a deadline for applications until August 25 with resolution N1237 dated August 20.
