BYD has launched sales of two new models under its Fang Cheng Bao brand: the Formula S coupe and the S GT wagon. The company says both vehicles are designed to deliver a high level of comfort across different road conditions.
The main distinction between the two is the design of the rear body section. The Formula S coupe measures 5060 mm in length, 1967 mm in width and 1483 mm in height, with a 2960 mm wheelbase. The S GT wagon is slightly more compact at 5025 mm long, 1967 mm wide and 1458 mm high, while retaining the same wheelbase.
The entry-level coupe comes with a single electric motor producing up to 329 hp. A 402 hp motor is available as an option for the coupe and comes as standard on the base wagon. The most powerful versions of both vehicles feature dual electric motors with combined output of up to 657 hp.

The Formula S coupe is priced at 189,900 yuan, while the S GT wagon starts at 219,900 yuan. Both models use BYD’s second-generation Blade battery, which supports ultra-fast charging. According to the company, the battery can charge from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes, and driving range can reach 900 km.
Formula S is the first model in the Fang Cheng Bao lineup to feature an intelligent magnetorheological suspension. The system can adjust damping force with millisecond precision, adapting in advance to changes in road surface conditions to improve both ride comfort and handling.
The Formula S and S GT are also equipped with the latest version of BYD’s autonomous driving system. It supports automated driving in multiple scenarios, including turns at intersections, exits from main roads and automatic parking.
Other available features include a 26-inch augmented reality head-up display, a compact refrigerator and a premium audio system. BYD is also offering several unusual accessories, including magnetic suspension lamps and a physical button module that attaches to the touchscreen for quick access to certain functions.
