U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have moved back into positive territory for the year. Data from SoSoValue show that net inflows since the start of 2026 now stand at nearly $800 million, reversing the heavy outflows seen earlier in the year.
According to CoinDesk's analysis, the low point came on July 13, when the same funds were sitting on $5.8 billion in net outflows for the year. The rebound has tracked bitcoin’s recovery from below $58,000 in early June to around $85,000.
The report says nearly $4 billion of the inflows since August arrived after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced increased bond purchases. The measure was presented as a liquidity management tool as bond yields climbed to multi-year highs.
The recovery in bitcoin, together with renewed ETF demand, has reinforced the view among some analysts that a new bullish phase may already be underway. Even so, this year’s net inflow of about $800 million remains far below the $35.2 billion recorded in 2024 and the $21.4 billion seen in 2025.
Six straight days of inflows
The spot bitcoin ETFs have posted inflows for six consecutive trading days, even as bitcoin’s rally has stalled above $85,000 since Tuesday.
Over that six-day stretch, the funds attracted a combined $2.84 billion. While that is a strong figure, it still trails the only two previous six-day streaks on record.
One such run lasted from Feb. 22 to 29, 2024, and brought in $2.35 billion. The other, from Nov. 6 to 13, 2024, drew $4.73 billion, nearly double the latest six-day total.
