According to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the volume of freight transportation from January to June 2026 amounted to 7,897.4 thousand tons. This represents a 4.2% increase compared to the comparable figure for 2025:
In particular, the volume of railway freight transportation increased by 24.7% compared to the same period last year, totaling 917.3 thousand tons. This included 235.2 thousand tons exported, 409.3 thousand tons imported, and 272.8 thousand tons of domestic freight transportation:
The volume of automobile freight transportation decreased by 0.5% compared to January-June 2025, totaling 5,804.8 thousand tons. This included 326.7 thousand tons exported, 2,117.4 thousand tons imported, and 3,360.7 thousand tons of domestic freight transportation:
The volume of air freight transportation increased by 12.8% compared to the comparable figure from last year, totaling 21.2 thousand tons. This included 11.5 thousand tons exported and 9.7 thousand tons imported:
The volume of main pipeline freight transportation increased by 16.6% compared to the same period in 2025, totaling 1,154.1 thousand tons:
