The Badalyan Eghbayrner group of companies has issued a denial in response to a question put to Armenia’s prime minister during a briefing at the government building on September 11. The question concerned the VIVARO company.
In its statement, the group said that no official, including the prime minister of Armenia, any member of the government, any representative of the authorities or any person connected with them, has, has had, or could have any link to any enterprise owned by the Badalyans.
The group also said that all of the organizations belong and have belonged to the Badalyan family. According to the statement, the companies operate transparently, in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, and duly fulfill their legal obligations.
The statement described journalist Hripsime Jebejyan’s question as absurd, provocative and unrelated to reality.
The group added that it does not rule out initiating legal proceedings in the future over such statements.
