The Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed that during the investigation of a criminal case concerning crimes against the state, constitutional order, and public safety, substantial evidence has been obtained indicating that G.T. met with Lebanese-Armenian businessman G.T. in 2008 and proposed to jointly engage in the sale of gold jewelry:
To carry out this activity, the company was registered in 2009, with G.T. and G.T. as shareholders holding 50% each, and S.A. appointed as the general director.
In mid-2009, G.T. proposed to G.T. to establish a drinking water factory in the village of Akunk in the Kotayk region, agreeing to jointly purchase the land.
On August 17, 2010, G.T. and S.A., as part of a group, threatened G.T. with violence, demanding that he sign documents, under the influence of which G.T. signed an obligation.
Thus, G.T. and S.A. extorted property worth $2.5 million.
Based on the collected evidence, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against G.T. and S.A.
