The "Ay Dat" committee condemned the signal from the Trump administration regarding its intention to bypass sanctions against Baku, which would pave the way for continued American assistance to Azerbaijan. This was reported by the press service of the ARF "Dashnaktsutyun" (ARFD).
As noted by the executive director of the American "Ay Dat" committee, Aram Ambarian, President Trump continues to ignore his promise of "America First," giving the green light for external aid to Azerbaijan and directing American taxpayers' money to a "genocidal dictatorship" rich in oil.
"This regime holds Armenians hostage, seizes Armenian territories, destroys Christian churches, and obstructs the return of forcibly displaced Artsakh residents," Ambarian stated.
In addition, according to the source, "Ay Dat" supported the ARMENIA Security Partnership Act, introduced by Congressmen Gus Bilirakis (Republican, Florida) and Frank Pallone (Democrat, New Jersey). "The bill prohibits the president from bypassing the specified sanctions until Azerbaijan withdraws its forces from Armenian territories, releases all Armenian prisoners of war, ceases hostile actions against Armenia, and recognizes the right of Armenians forcibly displaced from Artsakh to return," the statement said.
