In the first half of 2026, foreigners completed 2,313 real estate transactions in Armenia, which is 27.1% higher than the same period last year. Of the total number of transactions, 6.9% (almost the same as last year - 6.8%) were made by foreigners.
Specifically, foreigners concluded 1,059 purchase transactions (with an annual growth of 37%) and 1,193 sale transactions (with an annual growth of 19.3%). Additionally, in 61 transactions, both the buyer and seller were foreigners (with an annual growth of 29.8%).
As a result, in the first half of this year, foreigners purchased 1,120 real estate properties (with an acceleration of annual growth from 24.2% to 36.6%), while 1,254 were sold (with an annual growth from an 8.6% decline to a 19.8% increase).
The majority of real estate purchased by foreigners consists of apartments - 58%, followed by garages - 13.8%, and land - 13%.
The highest annual growth in real estate purchases by foreigners is recorded for apartments and garages - 49.8% and 32.8% respectively.
The most active buyers and sellers of real estate in Armenia are citizens of Russia, the USA, Iran, and several European countries.
