YEREVAN, July 3. /ARKA/. An Export Support Agency will be established in Armenia, announced Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan:

In response to a question about the impact of state support for economic entities amid restrictions on the export of Armenian products by Russia, Pashinyan said that economic entities have long felt this impact:
“The government has made decisions, carried out budget allocations, and support programs in terms of loans. At the government meeting, two more support programs were adopted,” Pashinyan stated:
The Prime Minister noted that the Armenian government did not wait for support from the European Union, took measures, this support is already being implemented, and numerous programs have been realized:
Recently, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen stated that the European Union will allocate an additional 18 million euros to Armenia for strengthening and diversifying trade. The mentioned 18 million euros are the final part of the previously announced budget support package of 52 million euros. These funds may be directed, in particular, to the establishment of the Export Promotion Agency:
On the restrictions of products from Armenia in the Russian Federation
Since June 12, 2026, Russia has restricted the import of all quarantine products originating from and dispatched from Armenia, as well as their transit through the Russian Federation to EAEU member states:
Among the restrictions imposed by Rosselkhoznadzor are, in particular, mineral water "Jermuk", alcoholic beverages, vegetables, fruits, and greens. The agency cited “systematic detection of quarantine objects” in plant products and flowers from Armenia as the reason. It is noted that the ban will remain in effect until a specific algorithm for ensuring the safety and traceability of shipped goods is developed:
On support for exporters in Armenia
Amid Russian trade restrictions, Armenia has expanded measures to support exporters, particularly towards EU countries. Thus, the government compensates transport costs and customs duties for the supply of fruits, vegetables, and flowers to the EU, the UK, and Canada, and also provides subsidies for a number of export goods:
On July 2, the RA government extended the state support program for the export of certain types of products for July and expanded the list of goods eligible for compensation. Thus, compensations will be provided to exporters of fresh fruits, certain types of food products and beverages exported from the territory of Armenia during July 2026. The list of subsidized products includes new categories – dried fruits and vegetables, as well as fish species trout and sturgeon:
