Arsenal has completed one of the most expensive transfers in its history. The 28-year-old Brazilian national team midfielder Bruno Guimarães has moved from Newcastle to London’s Arsenal. The player has signed a four-year contract with the option to extend for another year.
The deal cost Arsenal £75 million (approximately €87.5 million), making it the second most expensive transfer in the club's history, only behind the deal for Declan Rice in 2023.
Guimarães had been with Newcastle since 2022 and was the team captain.
