The amount of the universal health insurance premium is set at 129,000 drams, which is the same for all groups and is enshrined in the relevant provisions of the law:
According to reports from Armenpress, this was stated by the Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, during a press conference on June 30, summarizing the six-month results of universal health insurance:
Addressing the question of the possibility of revising the insurance premium, Avanesyan clarified that the mechanisms for this process are also enshrined in the law:
“Every year, the Minister of Health presents a report to the National Assembly prepared by the Insurance Fund, which includes information on consumed services, provided volumes, forecasts, price changes, and other aspects:
This means that the results of the previous year are presented, along with a proposal for the insurance premium for the following year:
Every year, the National Assembly must make a decision whether to keep it the same, increase it, or reduce the insurance premium,” she explained:
According to her, discussions will take place in the coming months with partners in the financial sector regarding state subsidies for health insurance in 2027:
“In the next 1-2 months, it will become clear how much the state will subsidize those groups that are not fully subsidized,” Avanesyan said:
She emphasized that in the case of a revision of the insurance premium, it would apply to all beneficiary groups:
