In Armenia, individuals deprived of driver's licenses can restore their rights without retaking exams

The process of restoring driver's licenses is being simplified

The Armenian government has decided that starting from July 6, 2026, individuals who have lost their driver's licenses due to administrative violations can restore their rights without retaking exams.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan.

If the period of deprivation of driver's rights has expired by July 6, 2026, citizens will be able to register on the police online platform within a year to restore their driver's license without retaking exams.

The state fee will be 50,000 drams.

Changes to the process of issuing driver's licenses were also approved, including the automatic acquisition of health status information about drivers.

These changes will take effect on September 1, 2026.
