A discussion was held in Areni regarding the progress of the investment program for the construction of a wine cluster. The Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, Lusine Gevorgyan, along with the community leader Khusik Saakyan and the director of the Armenian Vine and Wine Foundation, Zarui Muradyan, discussed the current status of the program and upcoming initiatives.
The aim of the program is to develop wine tourism, improve infrastructure, and strengthen Areni's position as one of Armenia's leading wine-making and tourist destinations.
It is noteworthy that the government is investing at least $12 million in the construction of the wine cluster in Areni.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, in 2025, the volume of wine production in Armenia decreased by 23.3% to 7.7 million liters.
