In July 2025, the White House issued a stark warning that without $1.4 trillion in new infrastructure investment, electricity prices could soar by as much as 58% by 2030. This is primarily driven by the insatiable power demands from the rise of AI data centers and cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
According to new reports, power demand is set to grow up to 10 times by 2030. While Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are betting on nuclear power, Bitzero has found a unique advantage by bridging the Bitcoin and AI markets.
Founded in 2021, Bitzero has already secured 110 megawatts of capacity at its flagship site in Norway and is developing over a gigawatt across North America and Europe.
Their Namsskogan site runs on 100% hydroelectric power at just 3-4 cents per kilowatt-hour, roughly 70% cheaper than the U.S. average of 12 cents.
This gives Bitzero a competitive edge even against the biggest names in the space.
