Rent support offered to some Artsakh-displaced families

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan announced partial rent compensation for certain groups of families displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Under the measure, part of the rental costs has been reimbursed to families that waived their right to benefit from the state housing assistance program.

Families may qualify for the program if they:

  • have 1-3 members and met the conditions established under the program or canceled their certificate under the housing assistance program for families displaced from Karabakh,
  • are included on the waiting list to receive accommodation from the state social housing fund,
  • have a family member with a permanent Group 1 or Group 2 disability, a permanent profound or severe degree of functional limitation, or a member aged 60 or older,
  • in the case of a two-member family, have a combined age of at least 115 years, or, for a three-member family, at least 175 years.

Applications were accepted online. Before submitting an application, applicants were required to visit a territorial center of the Unified Social Service to be placed on the waiting list for the social housing fund.
