The Ararat Regional Prosecutor’s Office has identified a number of irregularities in the acquisition of a sports school owned by Araratcement and submitted a report to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
“Specifically, a review conducted by the Ararat Regional Prosecutor’s Office within its authority to protect state and municipal interests found that former Ararat community head A.B., in violation of the law and without any grounds, issued a decision on December 12, 2008, ‘restoring’ the grounds for allocating the 473-square-meter land plot occupied by the sports school at 32 Kolkhoznikner Street in Ararat, although the above-mentioned property had never been recorded on the balance sheet of Araratcement CJSC and Araratcement CJSC had no right to use the land plot.
Subsequently, Araratcement CJSC General Director L.H. submitted a false certificate to the Vedi territorial subdivision of the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre under the government, claiming that the above-mentioned sports school in Ararat belonged to Araratcement CJSC and was recorded on the company’s balance sheet.
Based on the false certificate and the community head’s unlawful decision of December 12, 2008, Araratcement CJSC’s ownership rights to the 301.20-square-meter sports school at 32 Kolkhoznikner Street in Ararat and the 473-square-meter land plot it occupied were registered with the Cadastre Committee on December 22, 2008.
Having identified indications of an apparent crime while exercising powers to protect state interests, the prosecutor submitted a crime report to the Anti-Corruption Committee on August 6, 2026.
The Ararat Regional Prosecutor’s Office has also identified a number of irregularities in the privatization of Araratcement, the transfer of 74.1 hectares of land to the company and the lease of 457.79 hectares of land, the acquisition of the Voske Banali sanatorium owned by Araratcement, as well as mining operations carried out by the company.
Based on the identified irregularities, the Prosecutor’s Office has submitted crime reports to the Anti-Corruption Committee and lawsuits to the competent court.
