Minister: Araratcement Plant Resumes Operations

The Araratcement plant has resumed operations

The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevork Papoyan, announced that the Araratcement plant has resumed operations:

He posted a video on Facebook showing the plant in operation.

Recall that on July 6, law enforcement officials conducted searches at the home of the leader of the opposition party, Gagik Tsarukyan, as well as in most companies belonging to the Multi Group conglomerate.

Tsarukyan was detained and charged with alleged fraud and money laundering in particularly large amounts.

He is also facing charges of illegal hunting of wild animals, during which 130 animal skins, three live lions, and one tiger were confiscated from him.

Tsarukyan denies the charges, stating that the events are politically motivated pressure from the ruling authorities.
