The Armenian authorities are dismantling relations with Russia without a reliable answer to the question of who and what mechanism will fill the emerging security, economic, and political void. David Ananyan noted that three important events have occurred in recent Armenian life that should be viewed as interconnected components:
- A new level of Armenian-Indian defense cooperation, where Armenia and India have signed a memorandum on cooperation in the defense industry.
- The state coordination of the EU partnership mission, which will address cyber threats and illegal financial flows.
- The reception of a delegation from the US House of Representatives by the new parliament.
These developments indicate that the authorities are diversifying foreign relations, but this is being done without public discussion.
