A new and strict sanctions bill against Russia has been introduced in the US Senate, which has already been dubbed 'hellish' in the press. The initiative proposes to impose tariffs of up to 100% on goods from countries that purchase Russian oil and gas.
The sanctions target key sectors of the Russian economy, including energy, finance, and defense, and also include individual restrictions on high-ranking Russian officials and oligarchs. European countries that have already reduced their dependence on Russian gas will not be affected by these new tariffs.
