U.S. index futures rebound on jobs and manufacturing data

Markets moved higher after jobs and manufacturing readings came in better than expected.

Major U.S. stock indexes moved higher early Thursday, rebounding after the previous session’s decline. Markets found support in better-than-expected jobs and manufacturing reports, which helped offset the impact of hawkish comments from the Federal Reserve a day earlier.

In early trading, the Dow Jones industrial average and other leading indexes posted solid gains, extending the positive tone seen in futures. At the same time, crude oil prices and U.S. Treasury yields retreated, adding support to risk appetite.

Among individual stocks, Generac (GNRC) and Nebius (NBIS) stood out as major early winners. The story’s headline also points to Bloom and SpaceX as early movers.

The prior session had come under pressure after hawkish Federal Reserve remarks, but the latest macroeconomic data helped shift sentiment back in a more positive direction. Investors are now weighing how fresh economic readings could shape the outlook for interest rates and the broader market.
