YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Engineering surveys for the railway component of the 'Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity' (TRIPP) project have already begun in Armenia, announced U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio:
Rubio noted that on August 8, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the White House, where they signed a joint declaration:
'TRIPP is a multimodal transit route that includes modernization of railway, road, energy, and digital infrastructure,' said Rubio:
He also mentioned that the U.S. has been working with Armenia and Azerbaijan on the practical implementation of the agreements reached:
Rubio announced the establishment of the Trans-Caspian Investment Fund with a funding of $201 million:
'TRIPP is not only an infrastructure project but also a vital link in the Trans-Caspian trade route that can create new commercial opportunities,' Rubio stated:
