The US federal court has ruled illegal the decision of the Trump administration to halt the issuance of immigration visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Armenia, according to Reuters.
Judge Jeanette Vargas of the Manhattan District Court described the decision as “clearly illegal,” as the issuance of visas was suspended solely based on the nationality of citizens from those countries.
The judge asserted that Marco Rubio exceeded his authority, as the legislation does not permit the Secretary of State to interfere in the operations of consulates in such a manner.
