Amazon has announced the signing of four new power purchase agreements (PPAs) to buy wind energy in Sweden, bringing its total capacity close to 1 GW:
These new agreements, made with Eolus AB and OX2 AB, will help Amazon meet its growing energy demands, particularly for data centers and artificial intelligence:
Amazon has also expanded Germany's largest-ever power purchase agreement signed in June, planning to buy 600 MW of wind energy from the Gennaker offshore wind farm in Germany:
These projects will help power more than 350,000 Swedish households:
