Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and Bulgaria are in discussions to create a transit corridor for electricity, as reported by the Azerbaijani APA agency, announced Georgia's Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Inga Pkhaladze:
According to Pkhaladze, the new initiative will ensure electricity supplies through Georgia from any interested country, primarily neighboring countries, to Europe:
“Economically, this is a very important and interesting initiative, as, alongside transit, Georgia will also export its own electricity, which in turn will support local businesses and the high level of development in the energy sector in the country,” said the deputy minister:
