According to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-June 2026, 24,001.2 million cigarettes were produced in Armenia. This marks a 2.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
It is worth noting that in 2025, cigarette production in Armenia had increased by 35.4%, totaling 50,028.6 million cigarettes. In 2024, production rose by 5.4% to 36,940.1 million cigarettes. In 2023, production increased by 22.5%, reaching 35,044.3 million cigarettes. In 2022, production rose by 16.5% to 28,599.4 million cigarettes. In 2021, production decreased by 12.8% to 24,557.3 million cigarettes. In 2020, there was a decline of 16.8%, with 28,171.4 million cigarettes produced.
In 2019, production grew by 7.2%, with 33,874 million cigarettes produced. In 2018, the production also increased by 11%, totaling 28,476.6 million cigarettes, while in 2017, the growth was 19.9%, with the same amount produced. In 2016, the increase was 30%, totaling 23,754.4 million cigarettes. In 2015, production rose by 43.1%, amounting to 18,277.1 million cigarettes. In 2014, 12,774.2 million cigarettes were produced, in 2013 — 7,730 million, in 2012 — 6,155 million, and in 2011 — 3,361 million.
