According to the data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-June of the current year, Armenia produced 12,019.7 tons of cheese. Compared to the comparable figures for the same period last year, the production volume decreased by 2.9%.
At the same time, butter production increased by 13.2%, totaling 1,633.3 tons. Milk production decreased by 31%, amounting to 6,465.4 tons.
The production volume of cottage cheese increased by 31.3%, reaching 1,845.4 tons. Yogurt production rose by 24.9%, totaling 6,356.9 tons, while sour cream production increased by 2.6%, amounting to 3,869.2 tons.
Ice cream production decreased by 4.7%, totaling 6,251.5 thousand liters.
