According to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Armenia increased by 4.5% in January-July 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, with a recorded increase of 1.7% compared to December 2025.
In particular, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 7.5% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 8.3% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for clothing and footwear rose by 1.8% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for housing services, water, electricity, gas, and other types of fuel rose by 0.6% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for household items, appliances, and ongoing housing maintenance increased by 1% compared to January-July 2025.
Healthcare prices rose by 3.8% compared to January-July 2025.
Transport prices increased by 2.2% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for communication services rose by 0.9% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for recreation and culture decreased by 0.2% compared to January-July 2025.
Education prices increased by 8.3% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices in restaurants and hotels rose by 4.1% compared to January-July 2025.
Prices for various goods and services decreased by 2.7% compared to January-July 2025.
Food prices: in July 2026, compared to July 2025, there was a recorded inflation of 7.4% for food and non-alcoholic beverages in the republic, while compared to June 2026, there was a deflation of 3.8%.
Non-food prices: in July 2026, compared to July 2025, prices in the non-food market increased by 2.5%, while compared to June 2026, they increased by 0.2%.
Service tariffs: in the service sector provided to the population, tariffs in July 2026 increased by 1.8% compared to July 2025, and by 0.1% compared to June 2026.
Currency market: in July 2026, compared to June, there was a recorded decrease in consumer prices and the exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar by 1.4% and 0.4%, respectively (the Armenian dram appreciated).
