The congratulatory message from the Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Yeghiazary Vardanyan, on the occasion of Builder's Day:
I warmly congratulate everyone on the double holiday of Builder's Day and the 30th anniversary of the Union of Builders of Armenia.
Construction continues to be a leader in the economic activity indicators of Armenia. According to data for the first half of 2026, construction has increased by 24.5% compared to the same months of 2025, reaching 282.2 billion drams. Tax revenues from the construction sector to the state budget have also increased, amounting to 126.4 billion drams in the first half of 2026, a 22% increase compared to the same months of 2025.
Some pessimistic forecasts that the construction sector would face a downturn, sales would decrease, or that large-scale government programs such as “300 schools, 500 kindergartens” would fail, not only did not come true but the actual results exceeded expectations.
Joint efforts of the state and builders have brought to life programs for the construction of sports and healthcare facilities, roads, tunnels, bridges, and other infrastructure that improve the quality of life for our population.
The main requirement for builders is to carry out construction with quality and within the specified timeframes.
The Urban Development Committee has significantly accelerated and simplified the process of obtaining permits from design to completion.
One of the upcoming priorities will be to raise the level of technical supervision through the use of digital systems.
Dear builders, thank you for your dedication and efforts!
