According to the comprehensive accounting of agricultural crop sowing areas conducted for the 2026 harvest, 70,935 hectares of agricultural land were sown in Armenia. This is reported by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.
According to the published data, 23 hectares of autumn wheat were completely destroyed before the end of the spring sowing. Out of the total 70,935 hectares, 67,104 hectares were autumn wheat, with the highest losses occurring in the Aragatsotn region, where 12 hectares were lost, and in Shirak and Armavir, where 4 hectares each were destroyed.
In addition, under the state support program, the sowing of spring grains amounted to only 2,127 hectares, while the spring sowing covered 39,192 hectares.
